REGARDING PROBLEMS, EXPECTATIONS First and foremost: be mature. If you have a problem with another player, please try to work things out in an amicable fashion. If, for whatever reason, you are not comfortable with bringing the issue directly to them? Please talk to the mods. We're here to help! And, remember, we're all here to have fun, and, stirring up a shitstorm? That just makes people miserable, on all sides of the issue. THIS MEANS NO BIGOTRY, NO HARASSMENT, NOTHING. WE WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY OF THIS. First offense, a warning will be issued regarding the context of the offense and the explanation as to why it is offensive. Second offense, a non-appealable ban will be issued. REGARDING IC/OOC DIVIDE This really ought to go without saying, but IC =/= OOC. Your characters could be the fiercest of enemies, but that doesn't mean you can't be polite OOC! REGARDING GODMODDING Don't god-mode. Your characters are yours, and other peoples' are theirs. Do not make actions, statements, or even thoughts on behalf of other characters unless you explicitly agree to it beforehand. REGARDING FOURTH WALL-ING Breaking the fourth wall. Technically, this isn't allowed. At least, your character is not allowed to recognize a character as being from their fictional origin. This is way too meta and at worst annoying. Say you encounter Dick Grayson from Batman. Your character is not allowed to make the cognitive connection between Dick Grayson, the person before him, and Dick Grayson, the boy wonder Robin from comic books. We don't need to make up names for canons if they're being brought up in a general sense, but please do not have your characters recognize/name characters from those canons if you can avoid it. REGARDING ACTIVITY CHECK Activity checks will be posted and cleared every month before reserves open. Activity requirements will be TWO (2) links. They can include a post, a log (assuming that log is largely prose style), or a thread that includes at least 10 comments from your character (assuming that thread is a bracketed style). In other words, at least 20 comments per month. There must always be two links and they must fit these requirements or else that character will not pass AC and will be removed from the game. Posts or logs where none of the comments were responded to are not allowed to be used for AC. They must still meet the 10 comment requirement. We do not accept retroactive hiatuses. If you do not have enough links for AC, talk to a mod and we may make an exception. For instance, if you only have one link in April, we may allow you to stay in the game so long as you give us 3 links in May. Exceptions will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Mods reserve the right to speak with a player if they continuously only make minimum activity or are continuously late to turn in their activity requirements. We can discuss what might improve their experience and make them more active. This does not mean you are breaking any rules, you are not being punished if we speak to you, we just wanna know what's up. If you have a reasonable circumstance (job, school, real life in general), that's perfectly fine. We don't need the details, we just wanna know what's going on and if there's something we can do on our end to make things better. REGARDING MINIMUM AGE, ADULT THEMES You must be 16 years of age or older to play here. In addition, you must be 18 years of age to play explicit scenes. NC-17, aka explicit adult content, logs are allowed. However, they must be placed behind a cut, friends-locked, and be tagged with proper warnings. However, it may not be played out on the comm if a character under the age of 16 is involved, unless you fade to black for the adult content. REGARDING CHARACTER LIMIT Currently, the character limit is five, up to two of which may be from a single canon, depending on the characters and what possible canon relationships they have. You may only app two at a time. REGARDING QUESTIONS Read the FAQ before asking questions! Your question may well have been answered already, after all!
